Shoot the event. We sell the photos.
Hectic is the app South African athletes use for CrossFit, HYROX, lifting, running and more. Upload your event photos once: Hectic finds every athlete in them and sells their photos straight to them. You get paid into your own bank account.
How it works
- Sign up and get verified
Show us your portfolio. Verified photographers get access to events on Hectic.
- Shoot an event
Organisers invite you, or you join an open event. Athletes see who's shooting.
- Upload once, in bulk
No tagging. Hectic matches each photo to the athletes in that heat using the time it was taken.
- Athletes buy, you get paid
Every athlete gets a message that their photos are ready. Payment is split automatically and you're paid the next working day.
What you earn
| Athlete buys one photo (R29) | about R21 |
| Athlete buys all their photos (R99) | about R74 |
| Your share | 75% |
| Selling effort | none |
You keep the copyright. Athletes get the right to use their own photos personally and on social media.
